The Parker in me

Generally speaking, I look like a Gingras. As kids, Chris and I both looked like an even blend of parental features, but both of us now look like younger versions of my dad’s grandparents.

Except today. Today, I am sporting slacks in a professional and unassuming taupe, as well as a sweater in a salmony-mangoish hue. With cables.

Today, I am my Grand, Mrs. Helen Viola Parker Whipple. Although I’m pretty sure she never wore three-inch heels in her lifetime.

Yikes! Might have to do some researching once I get around to that “free time” everyone keeps telling me is so prevalent in Southern California…if memory serves me correctly, I’ve got some Whipple in my family tree somewhere. Granted, it’s a fairly common name, but that would be creepy/cool, wouldn’t it?

(And perhaps explain a lot of what gets chalked up to destiny…)

Dude. You met this grandmother, plus all the cousins and whatnot. How is it that you’re just hearing the Whipple name now?

Let me know if you find anything, but I’d prefer to rely on the destiny/born-six-days-apart for all that stuff. Did I mention that’s also where I get my irrational emotions and inexplicable expectations? Just for the record.
