My navel is now ringless, per pre-op instructions. Post-op, what should I do with it?
In other news, surgery is tomorrow, G arrives tonight (one day late, thanks to No-mageddon — thank goodness he built in some time for just such a clusterf*ck), and I might be eating a lot today because I’m not scheduled to eat again until about Friday. I can’t eat after midnight, I won’t be able to eat until later tomorrow night, and I’m not going to want to eat because post-op expectations (and the much-appreciated advice of two friends who went through this first) indicate I’ll be barfing my way into 2011.
Good times.
Also, true love is spending too much of Christmas and Boxing Day (What? He’s Canadian.) rescheduling multiple canceled flights just to sit in a hospital waiting room, then hold someone’s bucket for at least two days. Thank goodness I’m in such good hands.

1) – I say leave it in. I’m 42 and still have mine. Maybe it keeps me young….whatever the hell *that* means. I look down and see mine and think to myself to get a big fat fake diamond to hang there….whatever the hell *that* means. 🙂
2) – Good luck on your surgery, sweets. Will be keeping you, and G, in my thoughts. *If* you puke (and you will), BIG kudo’s to G for helping out with that!

I was going to vote for the memory of the weekend in Berkeley… Of course… I wanted to be able to choose 2 of the options, but then that would have negated the whole purpose.
I left it open for that, but thank you for adhering to the spirit of poll-taking. 😛 ‘Twas a good weekend, though, and it’s not like you still have YOUR piercing…
