Thankful

I am thankful to have an amazing partner in my life.
I am thankful to have an excellent job in difficult times (and that said job still exists in spite of open-bar antics at the annual retreat).
I am thankful for my huge and endlessly interesting family.
I am thankful for friends who share their lives, their recipes, their dogs, and their doctors’ phone numbers.
I am thankful for the opportunity to continue my education, which has allowed me to let my brain stretch in ways it didn’t for a while.
I am thankful to be of adequately sound mind and body.
I am thankful that “adequately sound” is a reasonable expectation, and for the growing acceptance that there’s no such thing as “normal.”
I am thankful for art and culture and the proximity of both.
I am thankful for old photos, new traditions, and endless love.
I’m also thankful for flannel sheets, Newton’s Folly hard cider, and organic lip balm. I mean, it doesn’t take much.
I am thankful for many things to include considering you as a dear friend. Happy Thanksgiving!
Back at you, pal. Give that baby girl a kiss for me. 🙂
I am thankful that I discovered your blog, because you are really a superb writer. Have I mentioned that yet? If not, you really have a magical way with words.
I am also thankful for olive oil, sea salt, and cinnamon. It really is the little things.
Aw…thank you, Elizabeth. And I am thankful for the regular dose of serenity I get from your blog(s) and your puppy pictures. 🙂
God, I do love olive oil and sea salt. Judging from how often I run out of cinnamon, I must love that, too.
