Jefferson Memorial. I'd have taken a shot of the Tidal Basin, but paddleboats make me grumpy.

Nice day for a walk.

I love this town.

Wow. What a great day to be out and about and taking pictures. I love that this monuments inspire such awe no matter how many times you’ve seen them. Thanks for sharing.

You’re welcome! Jefferson, in particular, always hits me — I just never notice it until I’m right on top of it. And the sky was SO blue Saturday…everything was that much more striking.

It was actually embarrassing. I’ve spent so little time in the city in the last seven years… It’s so walkable, so accessible, and yet I only take advantage of it when people come to visit. I need to work on that this summer.

I also need to remember sunscreen.

Wow! THAT view would give me incentive to walk more often…well, that and that ugly beast called Breast Cancer. Btw…I haven’t forgotten my annual donation to your walk, dear! Just runnin’ a full schedule and need to stop long enough to get the little, but important, things done…

Yeah, it was a beautiful day in the neighborhood. Tulips the size of your HEAD. They’re just as impressive as the cherry blossoms, I think, and significantly less likely to send me into a hay fever fit. The red ones around Memorial Bridge, in particular, are technicolor-vibrant.
