2 days, 26.2 miles, too many reasons

It’s Avon Walk time again!
Since 2007, I’ve had the opportunity to walk with a team of amazing, caring, and dedicated colleagues. We walked together under the banner of TeamMBA to celebrate survivors, remember the victims, and do our best to make breast cancer “something that used to happen.”
This year, breast cancer has one of our own under attack. A dear colleague, as you all know, is fighting this rotten disease. We’re fighting for her…and we’re fighting for you.
We’ll train, for the next 79 days, to walk between 26.2 and 39.3 miles over two days: May 2 and 3. Rain or shine, blisters and all, we’ll walk with thousands of others through DC, Virginia, and Maryland to raise awareness and do our part to help find the cure.
We’ ll raise at least $1,800 each, and this is where I’ll need your help! Last year, though I was unable to do the walk, I was able to contribute well above my minimum goal to the team total. This year, I’ll walk — oh, will I walk! I’ll walk for my friend and colleague, and for the two-time survivor who captained our team last year. I’ll walk for Doreen and Mary and the lady who donated a dollar when we stopped to rest at Mount Vernon in 2007.
Will you help?
