Wheee! Last night I got word that a good friend and former colleague officially became a mommy. She and her husband are the kind of people you look at and think, “They’re going to be fun parents.” There’s a ton of love and joy and fun in that house, and now there’s a whole new person to share in it.

You know, after the crying, sleeping, and pooping phase is over.

So welcome to the world, Miss Charlotte Suzanne. Don’t panic.

(And unless your mom and dad tell me not to, I think I have to call you Charlie Sue.)
