Dooce Bags Top Honors at Bloggies (at SXSW)

Killer.

Blogger was voted best blog application. I’m pretty happy with WordPress and had thought to scowl about the results of this contest, but…I do manage a blog in Blogger at the moment and it’s dead easy to use, which is the main reason I chose it for a multi-author blog with varying levels of web savvy. Their design customization is more user-friendly than WP’s–the templates are more flexible and more widgets are immediately available. I suppose that makes it easier for people to clutter up their spaces, but it’s handy.

SXSW is slightly out of my league and budget, but the list of nominees pretty closely matches my personal blogroll. I don’t know if that makes me “with it” or a total lemming. Either way, I was amused. And that’s what the internet is for.
