Considering the number of couples who face this, I suppose it’s helpful to show them how to do it right. But seriously? It ain’t rocket surgery. Now, if the professor knows a shortcut around the 6- to 12-month cooling-off period or can guarantee that ours is done in time to claim single for 2008, sign me up. Because I haven’t gotten a decent tax refund since my early 20s.

I wonder if this is a case of “…and those who can’t, teach”?

“What does your husband do?” “Oh, he teaches divorce — he knows just everything about ending a marriage!”
