Carne Asada is Not a Crime

Best. Tagline. Ever.
Alicia’s cousin is on a mission, my friends. It seems the L.A. Board of Supervisors is out to get the local taco trucks from which so many wage earners purchase their daily carnitas.
I no longer have access to any kind of lunch truck, but I used to and, let me tell you, it saved me from starvation more than once. It was also the only option with enough calories to carry me through conference drudgery until dinnertime.
Additionally, I hate Taco Be11 with a passion that rivals even my disgust for how McDona1ds pimps the mc-fried-fake-fish during Lent. These vendors sell the real thing and sell it for cheap, and supporting local small businesses is more important than “Fourth Meal.”
So help Alicia’s cousin save the taco trucks as part of the landscape and the local economy. Buy a Carne Asada is Not a Crime t-shirt, sign the petition, or otherwise show some love for real grassroots activism. Right now you can get a shirt for a mere $15 and free domestic shipping, so pony up!
My dad is getting Matt and I shirts. I’m making Matt take his when he goes to The Grove.
I ordered one for me. 🙂
Nobody at the Grove eats off a truck.
