Remember waaaay back in the 2006 primaries when Joe Lieberman whined about his website breaking and blamed the other candidate? Lamont’s campaign executed an imperfect but certainly gracious solution, posting a link to the senator’s Google-cached page and offering to help find and fix the problem.
Thanks to the Freedom of Information Act, we now know the outage was caused by a foreseeable, technical, and boneheaded glitch. Atrios has the scoop; Daily Kos, though usually too extreme for me, has a reaction I can get behind.
Considering what followed Lieberman’s accusation, I do hope there will be consequences for crying wolf.
