National Grammar Day

March 4 is National Grammar Day. Please act accordingly — don’t let your modifiers dangle.

In celebration, I would like to give all of my colleagues a cheat sheet containing the most frequently misused words, their proper usage, and any tips I have to remember the “rules.” It has come to my attention that some folks, bless their hearts, are using “supposively” in correspondence. This pains me deeply. I do not want to be the Language Cop, but I do think it would be a helpful tool for a bunch of people. I’m pretty flexible about grammar and style rules, but I have to draw the line at using words that, um, aren’t words.

If I set this up right, I’ll bet I can get our designer to make it pretty…
