Art…on the Avenue

One version of the perfect weekend day:
Breezy, with temperatures dancing around the low 70s
An annual arts and crafts festival on my street, complete with live music, crabcake sandwiches, and tons of friendly puppies
Meeting the woman who made my switchplate! I love local artists.
A locally made, customized handbag for a wedding in two weeks — all of my formal (or semi-formal) handbags are black, and I’m wearing brown to this wedding and…oh, like I need an excuse for a new handbag. I mean, why start now?
Lunch with The Roomie at Cheesetique, where I threw caution to the wind and ordered the Caprese Ciabatta sandwich, along with a glass or two of cold Verdicchio
Drunken Goat, sheep’s milk manchego, and fresh roasted red pepper pappardelle from Cheesetique, the latter of which I ate last night with a bit of italian vinagrette…oh, yum
Cruising Old Town in The Roomie’s (hot!) red convertible Mustang with the top down, pointing out all my favorite things about this area (The Torpedo Factory! And Paper Source! And 100 King!) and places to avoid (Il Porto. And…no, mostly Il Porto.)
A red velvet cupcake from Buzz down on Slater’s Lane, topped with cream cheese frosting and dark chocolate shavings
Naptime with the windows open
